Egyptian Vulture

Egyptian Vulture

The vultures of India have declined by 99% in the last 10 years or so, due to the use of Diclofenac by vets. This has resulted in a massive increase in the number of Black Kites and feral dogs. The Egyptian Vulture has probably declined less than the other species because its small size meant it got pushed out of the feeding melees by larger species. So it was hungry....but alive !
