Nadi International Airport.....

Our first stop was the Col-I-Suva Rainforest Ecoresort.....

...a delightful place to stay.....

...with the most stunning view over breakfast.

In the grounds were this endemic Masked Shining Parrot.....

....Many-coloured Fruit-dove....

...and endemic Sulphur-breasted Myzomela.

We soon headed for the nearby Forest Park with its stark conservation reminder.....

...but also Fiji Shrikebill.....

...and the wonderful Golden Fruit Dove.

Also Fiji Woodswallow.

On board our Otter en route to Taveuni.....

...and here we are !

Dive resorts are definitely more civilised than birding 'hotels'....

...and with a sense of humour.

They also have Greater Crested Terns.....

.....and lots of Pacific Fruit bats
