The first photo with my new Macro lens !

Portulacas do well in the Spanish sun.

Petunias.

The Geranium Bronze (Cacyreus marshalli).......

.....a South African species, accidentally introduced into the Balearics in 1987.....

......and now widespread in the W. Mediterranean.

It has also been sighted a few times in the UK.

Cacti......

Succulent.....

Surface of a large cactus.

Cactus thorns....

....and cobwebs.

Huge compound eyes on this hoverfly.

Jumping spider.....Cacyreus marshalli

With four eyes at the front......

....and another four on the top.....

this arachnid has excellent eye-sight.
