Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq went well........but now we're waiting for our onward flight to Ilulissat...time for coffee and cake...Greenland style !Kangerlussuaq is a former US base and now an air hub...........we opted not to stay here but go further north.Plenty of snow as we flew north........to Ilulissat , where we found freezing rain.....nasty!!Luggage carousel no. 1....and 2,3 4, etc.!Late afternoon and a snowy airport carpark.Being driven to........the Arctic Hotel.The most northerly 4 star hotel in the world !This was the view from our room on the first evening.........the most amazing sunset........over the calving glacier at the head of the bay.The view from the hotel dining room.....over the town of Ilulissat........as the light fades.The view from our room the following morning.........in the foreground are the hotel 'igloos', rented out in summer.Definitely a "room with a view" !
