Off to the Rockies !!......but first, a look at Mountain Chickadee........and Grey-headed Junco.A 'Big Bird' fly-past especially for me !Chatfield State Park.........gave me my 'lifer' Black-capped Chickadee........this Downy Woodpecker.......and a smart Spotted Towhee.On the road to Morrisson Park.........and then onto the very scenic Red Rocks Park.Great habitat for this Prairie Falcon..........and the Say's Phoebe.This fabulous location gave us our only sighting of........Western Scrub-Jay.Now heading into the mountains.......to Loveland Pass........at 3600m to look for..........White-tailed Ptarmigan.Looking for a white bird in snow at distance is difficult....there are two here....I think !An apt pose from this stunning Mountain Bluebird.
