Early morning, Borobodur, Central Java.

Sunrise from the entrance steps.....

and from the first level of stuppas.

It is the largest Buddhist temple in the world.

The main entrance is very impressive.....

...and leads up to the first of the nine platforms.

The whole temple is full of elaborate stone carvings.

The upper levels have large perforated stuppas...

....each containing a Buddah statue.

This stuppa has been opened to show the Buddah statue inside.

The temple is set in picturesque 'grounds'.
